1971 Royal Sprite, travel typewriter

It's that season again...writers eagerly welcoming the warm weather by looking for an ideal spot in a cafe or park to be inspired as they writer. A travel typewriter is ideal for this situations. This Royal Sprite is a wonderful typer, especially for smaller hands. It has a lovely feel to the keystroke. The exterior is in great condition with only minor scratches that are not very noticeable. The keys are yellowed/discolored from age but I think it adds to the character of this little one. Made in Japan. Royal Silver Seiko.

Another note on the handling/performance, the keys were amazing and ideal for my little hands so I highly recommend for younger typewriters or petite writers. 😎

• Note that while we take great care in our packaging, there is always a risk in shipping a vintage item. Please read our shipping policy.
• You are purchasing a VINTAGE item. There are inherent risks with vintage products.
• Free shipping via UPS. Signature is required. We do NOT ship outside the mainland U.S.
• We professionally SERVICE our typewriters. This means we clean and perform minor repairs. We do not replace parts unless otherwise specified in the description. Our typewriters are not refurbished or restored. Please read this blog post that explains the difference.
• Shipping sometimes causes things to get shifted and jiggled around. Most of the time, any impact is minor. That being said, we are happy to help you troubleshoot any issues you might have. If there are any concerns, please contact Rob immediately at hello@jotandtittletypewriters.com.
• We provide a typing demo video for each of our typewriters so you can see how it works before you purchase. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR YOU WATCH THE DEMO VIDEO FIRST! 

OPTIONAL 6-MO WARRANTY

With the warranty option, we will cover any mechanical issues NOT mentioned in the listing or demo video and are a result of regular daily use for 6 months starting from the day our tracking information shows that the typewriter was delivered. We recommend taking out your typewriter immediately and testing it for any issues.

This warranty covers any MECHANICAL/OPERATIONAL issues that occur in the course of normal use. Examples: keys sticking/not operational, carriage no longer works due to a broken drawband or other issue, a space bar stops working, the paper feed rollers no longer pull in the paper, etc. It also covers motor failure on electric typewriters. These are some examples of common issues with typewriters and not an exhaustive list of coverage.

 This warranty does NOT cover damage from misuse, food or drink spills, being dropped, or other accidental damage. Damage such as bent or broken parts is not covered (unless it is as a result of shipping). It also does not cover water damage or anything that arises out of an accident or improper use. Paint or exterior damage is not covered either.

 IMPORTANT! Do NOT attempt to repair the typewriter yourself. Any effort at repair on your part VOIDS THIS WARRANTY! This includes opening the bottom or side panels or accessing the mechanics and making adjustments. Please contact us first, and Rob will guide you as to what to do.

We will always attempt to address issues over the phone or email first. After that, if the problem has not been resolved, we'll give you instructions for returning the typewriter for repair. If there are damages as a direct result of shipping, please notify us immediately.
